Producing renewable gases from waste: it’s happening!
The regions are increasingly interested in “pyrogasification” - a technique supported by GRTgaz for producing green gas from solid waste. Decision-makers, local authorities, industrial companies and gas operators spoke about and presented projects underway throughout France during a conference organised by GRTgaz and sector stakeholders.

A great source of energy for Île-de-France’s bus system
In 2025, 50% of the public transport in Paris and Île-de-France will run on biomethane, a 100% renewable gas. Even better: this fuel will be produced within the region from agricultural residues or biowaste.
