Le Havre : new LNG entry capacity in France
With the creation of a new Transport LNG Terminal Interface Point in Le Havre, GRTgaz is offering new entry capacity to the Trading Region France (TRF) from 26 October 2023.
In the context of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and its consequences for gas supplies to Europe and France, a floating LNG terminal, or FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit), has been installed in the port of Le Havre and connected to GRTgaz's transmission network. It will be a new LNG import point in France for a period of 5 years.
The arrival of this terminal means the creation of a new entry point for the TRF (Trading Region France): the Transport LNG Terminal Interface Point of Le Havre.
After a period of commissioning, GRTgaz will market the capacity of this new PITTM from 26 October 2023.
The transmission contract ans the operational network code have been updated accordingly.
