Winter Outlook 2024 - 2025

On October 23, 2024, GRTgaz and Teréga presented the outlook for the French gas system for the winter of 2024/2025. As in 2023, the analyses show that :

• The French system is able to ensure the necessary supplies to cover consumption and transit needs to Europe, even in the event of a sharp drop in temperatures.
• This balance is based on sustained imports from Norway, LNG imports at LNG terminals, rigorous inventory management, and the maintenance of energy sobriety at levels comparable to those observed the previous winter.

The Ecogaz system has been activated since 2022 to contribute to energy sobriety and inform domestic and professional consumers about possible tensions on the network.
